Torticollis Treatment, Pediatric Physical Therapist, Anat Baniel Method™ for Children and Feldenkrais® Practitioner

The keys to working with infants and children are patience, warmth, and acceptance. Our gentle touch and capacity to empathize are essential to this work, and every bit as important as all the physiological facts and theories. Babies relax when we don’t insist on a particular position, but let them join us in a beautiful dance of acceptance and exploration. Touch them with great care.

Here’s what I know: it works. It really works.

Congenital Torticollis has risen sharply. Since 1992, when pediatricians recommended the “Back to Sleep,” campaign, many infants developed positional Torticollis. Nancy Neiditz has taught physical and occupational therapists throughout the United States and abroad. New Jersey and NY are lucky to have this specialist in the area for infants and toddlers. Her infant positioning techniques coupled with specific “tummy time” intervention makes her able to mitigate Torticollis in only a few treatments. Often her work with young infants corrects the Plagiocephally without helmets or craniosacral techniques.

“Nancy was the first to recognize that our daughter seemed to have problems with depth perception and vision. The eye doctor Nancy recommended caught the problem right away, and our daughter’s development pace kicked into high gear. Nancy’s years of experience and keen, observant eye make all the difference.”
